Eagle County Airport is the nearest major alternative to Aspen’s, and the route between them is a fine one: I-70 west through Glenwood Canyon to Glenwood Springs, then Highway 82 up the Roaring Fork Valley through Carbondale, Basalt and Snowmass into Aspen. Independence Pass is not part of it — that road closes every winter — so this is the year-round way in. Snowmass Village sits up Brush Creek Road a few miles before Aspen; we drop at your hotel, condo or the base area there just as readily.
It is the run to know for 2027: Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is closed to all flights from April 4 to November 19, 2027 for runway construction, and Eagle is one of the airports that stays open. We track your flight into EGE and meet you in the terminal.

Do you go over Independence Pass?
No. It is closed from November to late spring and not the fast way even in summer. We use I-70 and Highway 82.
Can you drop in Snowmass, Basalt or Carbondale?
Yes — they are on the way. Book with the address.
What if my flight diverts from Aspen to Eagle at the last minute?
